Summary of Work History: Jodi’s enthusiasm with business growth and management was sparked working for many years in the family commercial cleaning business. After completing her secondary studies in Cairns she attended the University of Southern Queensland and achieved a Bachelor of Business with a double major in Accounting and Economics. During her university studies she worked in the human resources division of Placer Pacific, a multi-national gold mining company, with operations in PNG.  She was responsible for managing all aspects of a fly-in fly-out workforce of over 400 mining employees including recruitment, induction and immigration issues.   In the early nineties Jodi joined the Japanese owned Traveler Corporation, initially as their North Queensland Regional Accountant  She was quickly elevated to the position of North Queensland Regional Manager being the company’s first Australian female manager.  In this role she was responsible for three tourism retail outlets located in prime tourism locations in North Queensland and managing a workforce of over 40 employees and contractors.  Within nine months of taking the reigns, she turned a significant trading loss into a profit. Jodi spent three years as the Practice Manager of one of North Queensland’s leading commercial and litigation law firms.  She managed all aspects of the practice encompassing finance, personnel, IT, administration and marketing. In 1998, Jodi was head-hunted to oversee and manage the property and infrastructure of Cairns International Airport, operated Cairns Port Authority.  This portfolio included land, building and office accommodation leases, two retail precincts at the domestic and international terminals with 35 retail outlets and all license agreements associated with the management of airport terminals, ground transport operations and public car parks. In 2002, Jodi co-founded The 20/20 Group with her three fellow directors.  In addition to providing professional consulting services, she holds the position of Managing Director. She chairs the Management Committee of Worklink Employment Support Group Inc.  Jodi was an Award winner in the 1995 Cairns Business Women’s Club Awards.
