Strategic Planning
Business Planning
If your company is not planning for the future, it may not have the future you
want. But what is good planning and how can The 20/20 Group help? We start by listening – really listening to what you want to achieve and where you want to take your business. It’s about knowing which questions to ask, what motivates your customers and staff, what’s happening in your marketplace, whether profitable business opportunities exist, and how to tap into them.
Together with you and your team, The 20/20 Group will determine a viable and
precise vision of where your business should be heading, then we will devise and
recommend the most workable and cost effective way to achieve the results of that vision. That’s smart strategic planning.
But The 20/20 Group takes it one step further. We don't just deliver great plans.
As required by each individual client, we will work closely with your team to ensure that the plan comes to life and the vision is achieved in practice, not just on paper.
Marketing Planning
Marketing planning is essential if you don’t want to waste your money on inappropriate advertising and sentimental sponsorships because it sounded like a good idea at the time. A marketing plan should provide a comprehensive – but user-friendly – blueprint for the future marketing direction of your company. It should be a practical and everyday guide that performs the following key functions:
It should demonstrate an understanding of your market and your position in it, the extent and threat of your competitors, and who your customers are, and how their needs can be met.
- It should articulate the overall vision, branding, and marketing objectives
for your company – the cornerstone from which all future marketing
activities should relate back to, to ensure that every marketing dollar is
maximised.
- It should provide an action plan to achieve the objectives: a practical tool
detailing timing, costs, responsibilities and performance measures.
- It should be designed to achieve realistic goals in a timely and cost effective
manner, which ultimately contribute to the bottom line.
Strategic Planning
The 20/20 Group is also experienced in the development of feasibility and economic impact studies, and has worked with a number of clients in this field.
Case Study:
Business Service Division: Strategic Planning
Job Type: Development of a strategic corporate plan
The Chamber of Commerce in a remote Far North Queensland community
commissioned The 20/20 Group to develop a strategic corporate plan that would
address ideas and aspirations put forward by many different people seeking a
vibrant, diverse and sustainable community. In undertaking this role, The 20/20
Group travelled to the remote site to carry out the following roles:
- Facilitation of a workshop.
- Identifying resources available and potential funding sources.
- Developing an action plan.
- Delivery of a strategic corporate plan.
The major outcome was to raise the profile of strategic issues within the
community and obtain commitments to action funding. The 20/20 Group
addressed these outcomes in the corporate plan, along with a number of other
opportunities that arose during the workshop and interview process.
The report provided a basis for options to develop and explore new strategies and
actions to implement the suggested approaches which would prove vital in assisting
the community to achieve its vision, and transform concepts into reality.
