As a disciplined writer Stacey can quickly grasp new information and turn it into accurate copy for web sites, press releases, advertisements, magazine articles, brochures, newsletters or whatever copy the client might need. After years of publishing experience in Far North Queensland, Stacey can pitch story ideas to local, state and national media and highlight client profiles and causes.
Drawing on years of interviewing the public, politicians and celebrities, Stacey can obtain frank and honest answers for marketing and business development purposes. For constructive feedback, Stacey can also hold one-on-one discussions with individuals and facilitate focus groups.
Her skills as a journalist can be applied directly to researching and report writing in a clear and concise manner for companies, shire councils, individuals, government departments and the general public.
Summary of Work History:
Stacey joined The 20/20 Group in July 2007. For the previous five years Stacey worked as a journalist at the Port Douglas and Mossman Gazette newspaper. Her news and feature articles covered a diverse range of topics including hard news, court reports, police rounds, personal profiles, advertorials, community news and more in-depth reports.
When required, Stacey took the editor’s chair, designed pages, co-ordinated features and generated thousands of article ideas. Some of the special features were published and distributed nationally. Her research skills have been well honed having compiled background for hundreds of news and feature stories over the years.
Stacey has written news and feature articles for The Cairns Post and Passport to Cairns. In addition she has written several manuscripts and was the editor of Remarkable Stories From Remarkable Women.
After ten years in the international five star hospitality industry, Stacey made a sea change to the Far North in 1998 and studied journalism at JCU in Cairns.
Stacey was based in London for three years as she pursued a culinary career in establishments including The Savoy and the QEII cruise liner.
